250 attend cancer center open house

Swedish Cancer Institute at Edmonds held a ribbon cutting ceremony at a community open house on April 17 at the Swedish/Edmonds campus. Above, David Loud, aide from Congressman Jim McDermott’s office, Richard McGee, M.D. medical oncologist, David Jaffe, chief executive of Swedish/Edmonds and Thomas D. Brown, M.D., MBA, executive director of Swedish Cancer Institute, cut the ribbon at the event that attracted 250 visitors. The two-story facility, located at 21632 Highway 99 in Edmonds, provides comprehensive medical oncology services to patients through an infusion unit, laboratory, pharmacy and access to Swedish’s electronic medical record system.
