5 Kamiak students named National Merit finalists | School brief

Feb 26, 2014

Five Kamiak High School students have been named by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. as National Merit finalists.

The five are Ryan Vogt, Chris Yi-hsin Jong, Margaret Slack, Hannah Hertzog and Heather Pearson.

The finalists, who are among only 16,000 high school seniors across the nation, are determined by scores in the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which students took last year.

All five will be recognized during the school’s senior recognition night in May.

The students are now in the running to receive a National Merit Scholarship.
