5K to benefit anti-trafficking cause | Sports briefs

The eighth annual Seek Out and Stop Child Trafficking 5k event is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, in Shoreline.

The World Concern S.O.S. 5K is a family event that raises awareness and funds to stop child trafficking and exploitation by seeking out vulnerable children and keeping them safe.

Whether you support a runner, or run yourself, your donation protects children at risk, surrounding them with a hedge of protection that includes safe havens for children to heal, learn and grow, opportunities for education, and the knowledge to stay safe. Every day, in Southeast Asia’s poorest villages, vulnerable children wake up to the threat of abuse, slavery, and trafficking.
