A free recital: Opera-tunities at Harbour Pointe Retirement
Soprano Carla Swedish to appear in classical recitalMukilteo native and opera singer Carla Swedish will appear with her collaborative pianist Dr. Chrales Enlow in a classical vocal recital “Love In Many Languages” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Harbour Pointe Retirement and Assisted Living Center.
This concert is free to the public and all attendees can enter to win tickets to the Village Theatre’s musical “Fiddler On The Roof.” Complimentary refreshments will be served at intermission.
Swedish is interested in singing for audiences who will most benefit from the healing, uplifting aspects of music. She is also interested in nurturing the growth and artistic development of other singers.
On Nov. 17, she appears under the auspices of a ‘Operatunities,” a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.
Swedish has sung in musical theatre, operetta and opera productions in Seattle and New York. Several years ago, Swedish created and performed her one woman cabaret ‘Stages of Love', a revue of songs from the Broadway stage.
On Saturday, she will return to her classical repertoire.
