Betty Lou Hawley: 1935-2012
Betty Lou Hawley passed away June 28, 2012 at her home in Edmonds with her daughters by her side. She is survived by Tom Hawley, her Husband of 56 years; daughters: Colleen French, Liz Hawley and Maria Freed; grandchildren, Max and Lucy French, Derek and Bryce Robinson; and brothers, Richard and Gene Elwell.
Betty Lou was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Feb. 3, 1935. The youngest of four, she was the only girl, greatly loved by her older brothers; Richard, Marden (Barney) and Gene Elwell.
Always active, joyful and quick witted she led a full life, deeply loved by those around her. Betty Lou was a wonderful person who never met anyone who wasn’t a friend. She had a heart of gold!
A memorial will be held at the North Sound Church - 404 Bell Street, Edmonds, WA 98020 at 3 p.m. on July 6, 2012.
