Boo Bash returns to Rosehill

Oct 16, 2013

The third annual Boo Bash, Mukilteo’s family-friendly Halloween event, is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Rosehill Community Center. All children’s activities are free.

This year’s Boo Bash has some new and scary attractions, such as an interactive “blood and guts” science exhibit, an expanded games selection and a Halloween-themed puppet show.

Many popular activities are also back, including free costume photo booth, a “creation station” for arts and crafts, healthy living activities – and, of course, Trick-or-Treating in Old Town.

Trick-or-Treat at Mukilteo Chocolate Co., Red Cup Café, Arnies, Mukiteo Fire Department, and – new to the route – Taco-Time Traveler, Baker Street Donuts and Skin-Deep Esthetics.

An annual blood drive is also traditionally part of the Boo Bash event. Donations go to the Puget Sound Blood Center. Donate blood anytime between 11 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Pre-register and receive a prize from the Mukilteo Recreation Department and Mukilteo YMCA when you arrive to give blood.

All activities are free, however, a donation for the Mukilteo Food Bank is requested.

In two years, Boo Bash has collected more than 1,500 pounds of food and enough blood to save more than 130 lives.

Many local businesses donated to the Boo Bash to help make the event possible and free of charge. They are: April’s Photography, Taekwondo Way, Colonial Life Financial, Mukilteo Academy, Head to Toe Kids Clothes, Mukilteo Kids Dentistry, Matt Martin State Farm, Red Cup Café and Garlic Jim’s Pizza.
