Cascade beats Mariner 61-47 | Girls prep basketball

The Mariner girls basketball team lost a conference game to Cascade on Friday, Dec. 13. The final score was 61-47 for the Bruins.

Cascade led 15-8 at the end of the first, and earned a 21-17 lead at halftime. The Bruins scored 17 points to Mariner’s 11 in the third quarter for a 38-28 lead going into the final quarter. Cascade outscored the Marauders 23-19 in the last eight minutes to earn the win.

Amela Grebovic scored 15 points during the loss, Diana Dinh added nine, Bianca Bayas scored eight, as did Realene Nicolas and Naomi Eastland scored four, while Veronica Flores scored three points.

The Marauders, now 0-1 in league and 0-4 overall, will host Kamiak on Wednesday, Dec. 18 in a 7:15 p.m. game.
