Dig into reading!

A summer adventure for kids begins by picking up a field guide at the Mukilteo Library to earn a free book and the chance to win a bicycle. Now through Aug. 31. Exhibit features artist Jerry Newport

Honor our heroes

Compassionate volunteers needed!

Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County is looking for volunteers to help in a multitude of ways—visiting patients, delivering supplies, working in the office, helping with events, etc. Information Sessions are held the third Wednesday of each month and are offered in the afternoon one month, and the evening the next. Thrift store supports Brandon’s Goal

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brandon’s Goal Foundation now has a non-profit thrift store. The grand opening sale at Finding Treasures will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29 and 30 in the store and the parking lot. Store profits go to research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Providence Pediatric Hospice, and the Family Support Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dog park volunteers wanted

Tails and Trails Mukilteo Dog Park is sponsoring two Pet Parades with new FUNgility events. Teen and adult volunteers are needed to help the committee with each event to be held in the evenings of July 10 and Aug. 28. Love of dogs a must, a love of fun is essential. Volunteers will be assisting competitors with basic lure-training. No experience necessary. Contact the Mukilteo Off-Leash Dog Park Facebook page.

Language Day Camps

Chinese language camp for kids and families through July 5 on Whidbey Island. Learn language through fun activities like: participating in the Fourth of July parade with a Chinese dragon, Chinese folk songs and dances, traditional group games, Tai Chi, kite making, dumpling making and more. Fairy House Festival

Drip Irrigation Workshop

Book Buddies

Historical Society meeting

7:15-8:45 p.m. This Mukilteo Historical Society meeting features a presentation by Chad Kaiser, a Fresnel lens specialist. 10th Anniversary Carnival
