Contest for young artists focuses on Puget Sound visions
Calling for submissions from preschool through high school students, WSU Snohomish County Extension Beach Watchers offer youth and young adults a chance to share what they want Puget Sound to look like when they get older.
Regardless of age, many of us become inspired and enjoy what is right outside our doors – the natural beauty and experiences found in this amazing landscape.
Please send your “Hopeful Visions of Puget Sound” by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.
This contest is looking for your artistic expressions of a bright future for Snohomish County's Puget Sound landscape.
Organizers intend to display the images to inspire appreciation and action by viewers at "Sound Living: A One Day Communiversity" on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Everett Community College, in the WSU Learning Center in McCollum Park and other venues including libraries and festivals.
Inquiries can be directed to (425) 357-6028, firstname.lastname@example.org. Submission forms and more details can be found at www.beachwatchers.wsu.edu/snohomish.
