Jake Hinds, 7, Wyatt Robertson, 7, of Mukilteo Cub Scout Pack 8 took a field trip to the Beacon Office on Jan. 18 to learn how the Mukilteo Beacon newspaper is made.

The scouts toured the office and got to talk to Editor Sara Bruestle, Page Designer Doug Warren and Ads Rep Gina Mosier about their jobs.

Wyatt’s sister Sorrelle Robertson, 8, and brother Zane Robertson, 11 also went on the trip.

Pack 8 has also visited the Mukilteo Library and the Mukilteo Fire Department. With their trip to the Beacon, the scouts earned a black bead to help them reach Tiger rank. They earn a bead for every “Go See It” field trip.
