A Kamiak High School student is hosting a community blood drive at Kamiak from 12:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18 to benefit the Puget Sound Blood Center.

Ashkan Mortazav, a Kamiak junior, decided “out of the blue” to help the region’s blood center, which currently has a blood shortage.

Every donation saves three lives, and a large amount of the donated blood goes to cancer patients.
