EdCC to host two candidate forums | School brief

Edmonds Community College is hosting two candidate forums, for the U.S. and state House of Representative races.

The U.S. House of Representatives candidates vying for seats serving the 1st, 2nd and 7th congressional districts are scheduled to appear at a forum on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Candidates for the state House of Representatives vying for seats serving the 21st and 32nd legislative districts also are scheduled to appear at a forum on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Each forum will be held at 7 p.m. in the college’s Black Box Theatre in Mukilteo Hall, at 20310 68th Ave. W in Lynnwood.

The events are sponsored by Edmonds Community College in partnership with Sno-Isle Libraries, The Daily Herald, NAACP, League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, American Association of University Women and Snohomish County Elections and Voter Registration.

The Daily Herald Publisher Josh O'Connor and Editorial Page Editor Jon Bauer will serve as moderators.

Each candidate, after giving a brief introduction, will have an opportunity to answer questions that address issues that affect Washington state on a local, state or national level. The general election is Nov. 8.
