Edmonds Floretum Garden Club will be holding the second event in this season's Saturday Workshops on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. until noon. This presentation will include two related topics.
The first topic is "Edible Fall and Winter Backyard Gardening" presented by Erica Strauss.
Erica is a professional chef who has worked in Seattle area restaurants preparing fine food.
Her love of really fresh vegetables led her to the garden for growing and cooking the best.
She lives in Edmonds with her family and is the writer of a popular blog, "Northwest Edible Life."
The second topic is "Transitioning to Edible Landscaping" presented by Danene Warnock.
Danene is a member of Floretum who loves cooking fresh food and is a skilled edibles gardener.
Although a newcomer to backyard gardening in 2009, she has enjoyed learning how to be a successful edibles gardener and has much to share on this topic.
The presentations will be in the meeting room of Coldwell Banker Bain at 108 5th Ave. S. in Edmonds. All are welcome.
A donation of $2 is suggested. For more information call Janice Noe at 425-774-4991 or janicenoe@comcast.net.
