Edmonds-Woodway beats Kamiak 2-1 in foggy Wesco match | Girls prep soccer

The Edmonds-Woodway girls soccer team earned a foggy league victory over Kamiak on Thursday, Oct. 24. The final score was 2-1 for the Warriors.

Ryles Peterson scored the first goal of the game for Edmonds-Woodway, but Kamiak’s Bailey Lux-Lowry tied the game early in the second half. Hannah Rupple gave the Warriors the edge with her goal late in the match.

The Warriors are 9-4-0 in league and 9-4-1 overall this season, while the Knights are 11-1-1 in league and 11-2-1 overall.

Going into the final week of the regular season, Edmonds-Woodway sits in the No. 2 spot and will take on first place Jackson on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Everett Memorial.

Kamiak is in third place and will play at fourth place Lynnwood on Monday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Both teams will finish the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 30 before the 4A district tournament begins on Nov. 2.
