Edmonds-Woodway beats Mariner 5-2 | Boys prep tennis

The Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team defeated Mariner on Tuesday, Oct. 14 with a 5-2 final score.

In singles matches, Mariner’s Alex Hoang beat Max Teer 6-2, 6-0, while Brandon Chen beat Ferdinan Feliciano 6-1, 6-2. Warrior Grayson Turly beat Jignesh Trivedi 6-0, 6-2. Edmonds-Woodway’s Arun Kalokhe beat Joseph Castro 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles, Warriors Riley O’Brien and Chase Holmes beat David Chang and Jeffrey Choe 6-2, 6-3 and Mariner’s Kal Johal and Oscar Ponce beat Connor Santel and Kit Teer 0-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Edmonds-Woodway is 9-5 in league and 9-6 overall this season, while Mariner is 1-12 and 2-12 overall.

The Warriors will host Lynnwood on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m. and Mariner will play Kamiak, also on Thursday.
