Elected wants what’s best for us | Letter

Jan 29, 2014

Editor, The Beacon:

It is a bitter pill to lose an election or, in Terry Preshaw's case, two elections, and by so few votes both times [“Voting block is apparent on council,” The Beacon, Letters, page 4, Jan. 22].  I'm sure she is knowledgable and wants what's best for Mukilteo.

But, as the advice given to many who were not happy with George W. Bush, or even Barack Obama, getting elected was: you lost, now get over it.

Let's try to put the negativity aside and realize that everyone on the council truly wants what is best for Mukilteo.

Christine L. Salditt,

Mukilteo

Christine,

I'm not certain if your advice is meant for me personally or to my supporters. In any event, I appreciate your concern and kind words and want to reassure you that my focus is on Mukilteo's present and future. Please feel free to give me a call (425-343-8472) if you have more advice or insights to offer.

Kind regards,

Terry Preshaw
