EMS week honors service of your firefighters | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
This week is Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week (May 18-25). It is in this week we would like to bring attention to you the excellent care you receive from the firefighter EMT's and firefighter paramedics from the Mukilteo Fire Department.
With our partnerships, and based on availability, you might receive assistance from EMT's or paramedics from the Everett and Lynnwood fire departments and from Snohomish County Fire District 1.
Also, we have partnerships with Swedish Edmonds/Mill Creek and Providence hospitals. We share a medical services officer with the Lynnwood Fire Department, as well.
It is these important partnerships that keep our EMS system working well in our dedication to saving lives and bringing comfort to those injured. We are grateful for the partnerships we have and continue to forge even more partnerships where it mutually makes sense for all.
You rarely think about it, but highly dedicated women and men stand trained and ready to respond at your time of crisis and need. Day in and day out, these dedicated people provide outstanding EMS service to your doorstep with care and compassion.
This would not be possible without you, the voters of Mukilteo, who approved an EMS levy to pay for this service. For this, we are thankful for your commitment to EMS in Mukilteo.
Lastly, I would like to personally thank all the men and women at Mukilteo Fire Department for their unrelenting service, from office personnel, to the people in the streets who deliver the service you receive.
People are the most valuable asset, and I am happy to be associated with such a great group of people. They care, and it shows.
Acting Mukilteo Fire Chief
