EvCC students bring their "Visions" back to the Schack

For the second year in a row the Schack Art Center is pleased to exhibit the works of Everett Community College art, photography, and graphic design students in "Visions Explored 2012."

The 2012 Visions Explored show begins June 14 and runs through September 4, in the Emerging Young Artists' Gallery at the Schack.

Pieces were selected for the exhibit by a committee of Everett Community College art faculty members, which included Lloyd Weller and Sandra Lepper.

Opening reception is June 28 from 5-8 p.m., which coincides with the opening for the Schack's Artist and Art Advocate of the Year exhibits in the main gallery.

Participating artists include: Mary Erickson, Dan Douglas, Susie Howell, Jami Hofemister, Tom Redner, Ardrienne Blythe-Clark, Joey Walla, Raven Simonds, McDonald Shana, Rae Cook, Rachael Lyons, Tara Duffin, Dana Shaw, Leah Griffiths, Wade Spade, Susan Emery, Chelsie Raeburn, Daniel Schucher, Hannah Thompson-Garner, Robin Suh, Pamela Kearsey, Jan Lengenfelder and Pat Smith.

Schack Art Center is a 19,000 square foot visual art center that includes a hot shop for glass blowing, kiln and flame working studio, professional and student exhibit spaces, retail store and multi-purpose classrooms to accommodate a variety of art media.

Established in 1974, the Schack Art Center (formerly the Arts Council of Snohomish County) is also a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which celebrates and promotes the arts for the enhancement of the community.

Through arts education programs, admission free gallery exhibits, and community events, it serves all of Snohomish County as well as artists and arts supporters from King, Island, and Skagit counties. For more information visit www.schack.og.
