Everett Chorale presents ‘An American Sampler’
The Everett Chorale will salute American choral music with “An American Sampler: Choral Classics by American Composers” at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature traditional American folk songs and a premiere performance of “Triptych of the Rock” by local composer Bruce Buckingham. “An American Sampler” is the final concert of the Everett Chorale’s 47th season.
Hear the 70-voice chorale led by director Lee Mathews sing songs by American composers, including Randall Thompson, William Schuman, Alan Hovhaness and George M. Gohan, such as “Simple Gifts,” “Good News,” “Oklahoma!” and more.
Tickets are $16 or $14 for seniors, students and military. Special discounts are also available for groups of 10 or more.
The Everett Performing Arts Center is at 2710 Wetmore Ave. in Everett.
