Everett Chorale to perform at St. Marks Cathedral
The Everett Chorale will be one of 27 Northwest choral ensembles to participate in the first choral festival organized by the Greater Seattle Choral consortium.
Seattle Sings 2013 will be held from 7-9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle. The Everett Chorale will perform a 20-minute program during the Saturday concert, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
In keeping with the festival theme of presenting music by Northwest composers, the 70 voice Everett Chorale will perform pieces by Gerald Kechley and Alan Hovhaness.
The Chorale is now in its 48th season and is under the direction of Lee Mathews, who this past season celebrated his 20th year as conductor.
Admission to the entire event is free through the generous support of KING-FM Radio, Capital Music Center and the Washington Chapter of the American Choral Director Association.
