Every year for the fall pumpkin season, Stocker Farms works with different community organizations to create a memorable corn maze experience on their family farm in Snohomish. This year Stocker Farms chose to support the YMCA of Snohomish County.

“This past spring Stocker Farms, was invited to participate in Healthy Kids Day at the Mill Creek Family YMCA,” said Keith Stocker, an owner of the fourth-generation farm. “I was amazed by the enthusiasm demonstrated by the YMCA staff and impressed by all the programs they have to support our community.

“We love to introduce our fall farm customers to great organizations like the YMCA. When you consider we both serve families and children, it makes perfect sense to work together.”

This year Stocker Farms will be presenting a YMCA corn maze design entitled “Find Yourself at the Y.” YMCA members can save $2 off admission by showing their Y membership card.

As customers venture through the maze they will complete a game board looking for icons on signs that match the trail guide, trying to decipher a secret message. By doing so, they will also learn about the various programs offered by the YMCA and the impact it has on the community.

“We’re excited that Stocker Farms wanted to help promote the Y this fall,” said Scott Washburn, YMCA of Snohomish County president and CEO. “The Y is so much more than a ‘swim and gym’ and this is a fun way to educate the community on the impact of the YMCA.”

There will be “YMCA Days” with special Y-sponsored activities and fun: The upcoming are Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Stocker Farms offers activities for all ages. For families there is the Family Pumpkin Park and the Corn Maze, while teens and young adults may enjoy the “Stalker” Farms Haunted Corn Fields and Zombie Hunt.

Stocker Farms is at 10622 Airport Way in Snohomish. Call 360-568-7391 or visit www.stockerfarms.com for hours and pricing.
