Firefighters to host pancake breakfast | A&E brief

Oct 12, 2016

The Mukilteo firefighters annual pancake breakfast will be held Saturday, Oct. 15.

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon at the Harbour Pointe fire station, 10400 47th Pl. W.

Firefighters will volunteer their time to flip pancakes, grill ham and cook eggs. Donate what you can for a plate. Donations for the Mukilteo Food Bank will also be accepted.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! Emergency response vehicles will be available for photo ops with the kids throughout the event.

Proceeds from the breakfast go toward the 2017 Easter Egg Hunt and the Mukilteo Firefighters Benevolent Fund. Last year, the pancake breakfast raised $820.

The fund was established by the Mukilteo Firefighters Association to give firefighters the ability to provide resources to 911 callers before and after emergency situations, not just during.

Event sponsors are Diamond Knot Craft Brewing, Weller’s Café, Scotsman Bistro, Barbara’s Floral, Total Rental Center, Papa Murphy’s and Karmichael’s Auto Salon.

“A heartfelt thank you goes to all of our sponsors and to all who attended and donated last year,” said local firefighter and paramedic Kelli McNees. “Your support goes back to the community and to free to community events, such as the Easter Egg Hunt.”
