Gregerson: Best choice for mayor | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
Jennifer Gregerson is Mukilteo's best choice for Mayor in November's general election.
A lifelong resident of Mukilteo, Jennifer has a quick mind and impressive intelligence, obvious even from a short conversation with her.
She is well-educated, having earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University and, most importantly, a master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Washington.
She has prepared herself academically to deal with the challenges confronting Mukilteo today.
She has 10 years of experience on the Mukilteo City Council and has, through superior intelligence, initiative and energy, created access to county and state political figures that will be important in implementing solutions to Mukilteo's difficulties.
As an experienced politician, she is deeply involved in meeting these challenges and aware of the shortcomings in the current administration.
Moreover, Jennifer is a great communicator, with the skills necessary to articulate the nature of the challenges presented to the city to the residents of Mukilteo and the solutions which will work best for our city.
Well spoken and comfortable in the public eye, she communicates clearly and can guide conversation without dominating it.
Finally, she is that rarest of commodities – a good listener.
She has the leadership skills and the stamina to address the several challenges facing Mukilteo today. These challenges include the appropriate use of Paine Field, the future location of the ferry terminal and the preservation of Japanese Gulch.
The residents of Mukilteo will be best served by electing Jennifer Gregerson as our next mayor.
I strongly support her election in November.
