Haunted STEM lab at EdCC | School brief

Oct 05, 2016

Edmonds Community College invites the community to visit its haunted STEM lab on Friday, Oct. 28.

The Halloween-themed science, technology, engineering and mathematics lab will be open from noon to 6 p.m. in EdCC’s Monroe Hall, at 6606 196th St. SW in Lynnwood.

Witness explosive – yet safe – demonstrations. There be candy launches, vortex smoke rings, 3-D ghost printing, laser-cutting goblins and more. All ages are welcome.

In the past 10 years, STEM jobs have grown three times faster in Washington state than non-STEM jobs.

As a result, EdCC is providing more opportunities for STEM students.

The college recently received three National Science Foundation grants, totaling nearly $3.5 million, to go toward support services and scholarships for students in STEM fields.
