Help homeless animals with your holiday shopping

Dec 18, 2013

This holiday season, Pawsitive Alliance suggests giving a gift that can help a homeless animal find a new home.

Pawsitive Alliance encourages holiday shoppers to use their gift-giving to support their organization’s efforts to save lives.

Shop its many gift-giving ideas:

• Experiences always fit so give a night out to attend “Pawsitive Futures,” a fundraiser and auction on March 1.

Tickets are ‪$50 for general seating –– enjoy wine, chocolates, delicious food and a chance to bid in the auctions. Tables for eight are available for $440.‬

More information can be found on Pawsitive Alliance’s website, www.pawsitivealliance.org.

• TisBest charity gift cards:

These gift cards work like other gift cards, with one exception: the recipient uses the funds on the card to support one or more charities on the TisBest website, including Pawsitive Alliance.

• BarkBox: for the beloved pooches on your shopping list.

Get $5 off any BarkBox subscription and support Pawsitive Alliance.

For every coupon used on BarkBox.com, Pawsitive Alliance receives a $15 donation from BarkBox.

Visit www.barkbox.com and use the promo code: PAW10BBX1.

• Give the gift of time with this calendar:

Lara Grauer, one of Seattle's premier pet photographers, will make a donation to Pawsitive Alliance for every 2014 dog calendar sold until Dec. 31.

• Shopping on Amazon.com?

If so, go to the Pawsitive Alliance website first to help them earn a percentage of the sales: click on the Amazon.com link on the "How you Can Help" page.

• For the spay or neuter fan in your family:

For $50 you can give the gift of a spay or neuter surgery. The gift recipient will receive a personalized certificate.
