Help needed to locate hit-and-run suspect
Mukilteo police still searching for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision on May 5 near the ferry dock that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect and suspect vehicle.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light colored late model (2011-2013) Cadillac CTS or ATS sedan.
The victim, a 55-year-old Sammamish resident, was driving off the Mukilteo ferry around 10:50 p.m. on his Suzuki Burgman scooter.
The suspect vehicle ran the stop sign at Front Street and the Mukilteo Speedway, striking the victim and his scooter, said Cheol Kang, spokesperson for the Mukilteo Police Department.
The force of the impact sent the victim and his scooter flying more than 30 feet. The suspect fled the scene without stopping for the victim.
The victim was transported to the Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, where he was in critical condition for 17 days with injuries to his internal organs and multiple broken bones.
He is currently recovering at home in Sammamish.
It is likely that the suspect vehicle has damage on the front-left quarter-panel from the impact, Kang said. There also may be dark blue paint transfer on the suspect’s vehicle from the victim’s scooter, he said.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Det. Lance Smith at 425-263-8100.
