‘Hometown Hootenanny’ to welcome in the 4th
Get set to celebrate the 4th of July with a patriotic musical tribute at the Hootenanny! Music from traditional to modern, folk and country will be on the program when the Everett Historic Theatre hosts the “Hometown Hootenanny,” a star-spangled songfest, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30.
The lineup includes the Hometown Band, which has grown to seven members, with musicians adding mandolin, harmonica, and keys for an even more complete sound.
Guest vocalists are Michelle Bernath and Katie Silva. Also scheduled to appear are Danika Nolton and Friends, a bluegrass band featuring 13-year-old Danika on fiddle, and Jenny and the Blue Moon Boys, a family band based in Marysville.
The show features patriotic songs that include "An American Soldier," "God Bless the U.S.A.,"and "Letters From Home".
Members of American Legion Post #178 of Marysville will lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by sisters Lexi and Brianna Jason singing the national anthem to begin the show.
Tickets are $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors/students/military, and $5 for kids aged 12 and under.
