Kamiak High School's winter assembly on Friday, Dec. 13 was full of school and holiday spirit.

Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who made appearances.

Seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen sang holiday songs in a competition for free T-shirts and the winter sports captains were pranked in a game involving blindfolds and Christmas ornaments.

There were also performances by Kamiak’s The Starry Knights and Unaccompanied Minors barbershop choirs, cheerleaders, color guard and dance team.

With no real snow in sight yet – Mukilteo School District students would get a snow day one week later on Friday, Dec. 20 – Kamiak ended the assembly with its own fake snow.

Students blew “snow” into the bleachers with toilet paper shooters.
