Kamiak beats Cascade 126-60 | Girls prep swimming

The Kamiak girls swimming team beat Cascade 126-60 on Thursday, Oct. 24 in the final home meet of the regular season.

The Knights team of Laura Johnson, Amy Pilloud, Hayley Lasley and Angelina Dovinh won in 1:59.86, while Ingrid Straume won the 200 freestyle race in 2:01.79.

Johnson won the 200 individual medley race in 2:16.77, while Johnson also won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.74. Stina Seaberg earned the title in the 100 freestyle event, finishing in 1:00.13, while Dovinh won the 100 backstroke in 1:05.87.

Kamiak’s 200 freestyle relay team of Dovinh, Lasley, Seaberg and Lyndsey Willis won in 1:48.05, and the 400 relay team of Lasley, Seaberg, Bailey Kindle and Rosanna Holod won in 4:07.12.

The team will begin the post season with the 4A district prelims on Nov. 7 at Kamiak High School.
