Kamiak beats Edmonds-Woodway, Jackson, Mariner in league match | Girls prep golf

The Kamiak girls golf team earned a league win at Walter Hall Golf Course on Tuesday, April 22, beating Edmonds-Woodway, Jackson, Mariner, Casdcade and Lynnwood.

The Knights won with a team score of 211, playing on the back-nine at the par 36 course. Edmonds-Woodway finished in second with 275, while Jackson was fourth at 279 and Mariner was sixth with a score of 372.

Individually, Kamiak’s Hannah Lee was the medalist, shooting a 36, with teammate Renee Kwak finishing with a 41. Olivia Kim shot 43, Katherine Choi hit 45 and Simran Handa hit 46.

For Edmonds-Woodway, Sung Byun shot 52, Carson Harvey hit 53 and Kiana Miou shot 54. Victoria Phan hit 55 and Kathryn Schalk shot 61 for the Warriors.

Jackson’s Leah Shin finished with a 50, as did Serena Nguyen. Heidi Stedman hit 58, Delaney Lind shot 60, while Hannah Yoon hit 61.

Mariner’s Marli Koba finished with a 46, Kara Ostler hit 65 and Raelee Meige shot 81.

Jackson will host a league meet against the Warriors, Knights and Marauders on Tuesday, April 29 at Mill Creek Country Club at 2 p.m.
