Kamiak beats Lynnwood 6-1 | Boys prep tennis

The Kamiak boys tennis team earned a league win over Lynnwood on Tuesday, Sept. 17, beating the Royals 6-1.

In the singles matches, Jimmy Hua beat Ryan Tsuji 6-2, 6-1 and Garrett Peterson beat Brandon Tel 6-2, 6-1. Joseph Lee defeated Matthew Hwang 6-0, 6-0 and Janson Garside beat David Jorgenson 6-3, 6-2.

In the doubles matches, Dominic Lee and Lan Kim beat Chuong Pham and Tho Yein 6-2, 6-4, while Lynnwood’s Alex Mellen and Htet Thu beat Brian Moon and Oliver Collins 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Daniel Chung and Ben Lee beat Amer and Samer Kouttainay 6-0, 6-1.

Kamiak is now 2-0 in league this season and 2-1 overall. The Knights will play at Jackson at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 and will travel to Cascade on Thursday, Sept. 19 for another 3:30 p.m. match.
