Kamiak beats Mavericks at Meadowdale Meet | Girls prep swimming
The Kamiak girls swimming team beat Meadowdale during the Meadowdale Meet on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Lynnwood Pool. The Knights had 130 points, while Meadowdale had 39 points.
The Kamiak team of Nicole Hoot, Rachel Huning, Laura Johnson and Bailey Kindle won the 200 medley relay in 2:04.84, while Angeline Dovinh won the 200 freestyle race in 2:04.34. Lyndsey Willis finished in second place in the 200 individual medley event in 2:31.41, while Haley Lasley took first in the 50 freestyle in 27.56. Stina Seaberg won teh 500 freestyle race in 6:05.12, and the Knights 200 freestyle relay team of Paula Kimmerling, Kindle, Daniela Crosby and Dovinh took first in 1:55.52.
Kamiak’s Laura Johnson won the 100 backstroke race in 1:03.89, while Dovinh was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.30. Kamiak’s Rosanna Holod, Lasley, Alyssa Michaud and Dovinh took first in the 400 relay event.
The Knights will host Bainbridge on Thursday, Sept. 26 in a 3:15 p.m. meet.
