Kamiak defeats Arlington 7-0 | Boys prep tennis

The Kamiak tennis team beat Arlington 7-0 on Friday, Oct. 11. The Knights are now 11-1 in league matches and 11-2 overall this season, going into the final week of regular season games.

In singles matches, Jimmy Hua beat Trent Sarver 6-1, 6-1, while Joseph Lee beat Conner Ghirardo 6-2, 6-3. Daniel Chung beat Rawley Davis 6-0, 6-1 and Janson Garside beat Cameron Reece 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles matches, Dominic Lee and Garrett Peterson beat Jacob Bierer and Coleman Davis 6-1, 6-1, while Brian Moon and Lan Kim beat Lucas Bynum and Isaiah Meitzelfeldt 6-1, 6-3. Oliver Collins and Ben Lee beat Jessie Vaughn and Nick Mendro 6-0, 6-1.

Kamiak will face Jackson for a shot at sharing the 4A south conference title on Monday, Oct. 14 at Kamiak High School at 3:30 p.m. before taking on Cascade on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Mariner on Thursday, Oct. 17 in the final match of the regular season.

The playoffs will begin next week with the 4A South Division tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Jackson High School.
