Kamiak downs Lynnwood 6-1 | Boys prep tennis

The Kamiak boys tennis team beat Lynnwood 6-1 on Thursday, Oct. 10.

In singles matches, Jimmy Hua beat Ryan Tsuji 6-3, 6-4, while Joseph Lee beat Thu Yein 6-0, 7-6. Lynnwood’s only win of the day was for Brandon Pel defeating Daniel Chung 6-0, 6-3. Janson Garside beat Matthew Hwang 0-6, 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles matches, Dominic Lee and Garrett Peterson beat Chuong Pham and Alex Mellen 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, while Brian Moon and Lan Kim beat David Jorgenson and Htet Thu 6-2, 6-3. Oliver Collins and Ben Lee beat Amer Kouttianay and Samer Kouttianay 6-0, 6-1.

Kamiak is 9-1 in league matches and 10-1 overall this season. The team will play Arlington on Friday, Oct. 11 at 3:30 p.m. and will host Jackson on Monday, Oct. 14.
