Kamiak downs Mount Vernon 6-1 | Boys prep tennis

The Kamiak boys tennis team beat Mount Vernon on Thursday, Sept. 26. The Knights won 6-1.

In singles matches, Jimmy Hua lost to Casey Goodwin 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, while Garrett Peterson beat Kyel Frederick 6-0, 6-4. Joseph Lee beat Roland Farrell 6-1, 6-0 and Janson Garside beat Tyler Schubkegal 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, Dominic Lee and Lan Kim beat Marcus Samora and Luke Visser 6-1, 6-2, while Brian Moon and Daniel Chung beat James Madsen and Luke Johnston 6-0, 6-0. Ben Lee and Oliver Collins beat Bo Volewiler and Ian Mazzarilla 6-3, 6-3.

The Knights are 3-2 in league and 4-4 overall this fall. They will play at Snohomish on Monday, Sept. 30 in a 3:30 p.m. match.
