Kamiak draws with Lake Stevens | Boys prep soccer

The Kamiak boys soccer team battled to a draw with Lake Stevens on Tuesday, April 22, finishing regulation with a 1-1 score.

The team’s battled through the first half scoreless before  Kamiak’s Eric Koegler scored the first goal of the game in the 57th minute, assisted by Jason Kim.

The Vikings tied the game in the 72nd minute when Jose Gayton scored, assisted by Zach Bush.

With the tie at the end of the regulation, the teams moved into overtime, but neither team was able to capitalize on chances, ending the game.

The Knights, now 6-3-1 in league and 6-4-1 overall this season, will play Jackson at Everett Memorial on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m.
