Kamiak falls to Bainbridge | Girls prep swimming

The Kamiak girls swim team fell to state 3A powerhouse Bainbridge on Thursday, Sept. 26. The final score was 113-73 for the Spartans.

Kamiak’s Ingrid Straume won the 200 freestyle race in 2:01.86, while Angeline Dovinh won the 50 freestyle in 25.84. She also won the 100 freestyle race in 55.71 seconds. The Knight’s 200 freestyle relay team of Dovinh, Straume, Haley Lasley and Laura Johnson won in 1:46.23.

Straume also picked up a win in the 100 breast stroke in 1:12.28.

The Knights will take on Shorewood on Tuesday, Oc. 1 in a 3:15 p.m. at Kamiak High School.
