Kamiak falls to Issaquah in district tournament | Girls prep soccer
The Kamiak girls soccer season came to an end on Saturday afternoon after a 3-1 loss to Issaquah in the Wesco tournament.
Issaquah moves on to earn the final berth from District 2 into the 4A state tournament.
Kamiak qualified for Saturday's match after beating Snohomish on Thursday, Nov. 7. The Knights won 2-0.
With the win, Kamiak finished the tournament in third place.
The Knights will play Issaquah on Saturday, Nov. 9 with the final state berth from District 1 on the line.
The game was scoreless after the first half, but Tylor Adcock scored in the 42nd minute of the game to give the Knights a 1-0 edge. Christine Heisen extended the lead to 2-0 with 27 minutes left to play in the game. Baylie Lux-Lowry and Chardalise Madrigal earned shutouts, as did goalie Shannon Peth.
The Knights, 14-5-1, will face Issaquah on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. at Kamiak High School. The Eagles, 11-4-1 this season, lost to Inglemoor in the KingCo district tournament to finish in third place. The winner of Saturday’s game will earn the No. 3 seed out of District 1/2 in the 4A state tournament.
