Kamiak falls to Shorewood 4-3 | Boys prep tennis

The Kamiak boys tennis team lost to Shorewood on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The final score was 4-3 for the Thunderbirds.

In the singles matches, Jimmy Hau of Kamiak beat Cameron McDowell 6-2, 7-5, while teammate Garrett Peterson lost to Jamie Wright 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Kamiak’s Joseph Lee beat Alejandro Uvence 6-3, 6-2. Dominic Lee lost to Jack Bong 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.

In the doubles games, Kamia’s Iam Kim and Jason Garide beat Raven Daley and Scott Park 6-3, 6-3, while Brian Moon and Oliver Collins lost to Hugh Gaevert and Kyle Berquist 6-3, 6-3. David Chung and Ben Lee lost to Shorewood’s Cameron Harford and Simon Forniash 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

Kamiak will take on Edmonds-Woodway at home on Friday, Sept. 13 in a 3:30 p.m. match.
