Kamiak freshman finishes fifth at state | Boys swimming

Kamiak’s Maxwell Fang has a bright future.

Fang was the lone freshman to advance to the 200-yard freestyle finals at the 4A state swimming championships Saturday, Feb. 18, at the King County Aquatic Center.

The Kamiak standout finished fifth with a time of 1 minute, 45.46 seconds. Fang also placed 10th in the 100 butterfly in 53.89.

Fang, along with teammates Walter Limm, Alex Kirby and Brian Park, also helped the Knights’ 200 freestyle relay team to a fourth-place finish in 1:29.47.
