Number of athletes: 34, 14 on varsity

Last season: The Knights finished 13-3 in regular season, finishing seventh as a team at the 4A state meet, with several individuals placing.

Strengths: “We have three returning kids who went to state last year,” said head coach Heidi Bloemker. “We've got several kids returning who went to state and a couple kids who are returning who have been playing a lot this year and have improved. Then we have quite a few new faces.”

Focus: “The first thing we have to do is the ladder,” said the coach. “This week we're focusing on our ladder and next week we have a few days before our first match and by then we'll know who our doubles teams are and getting used to playing.”

The seniors said they’d like to go undefeated this year, and hope to send more of the team to state.

Game to watch: “Jackson and Edmonds-Woodway are always strong teams,” said the coach. “They are in the first part of our season, Jackson is our first match and Snohomish is always a tough team.”

The Knights will play Jackson at home in the first match of the season on March 20 at 3:30 p.m. and will face the Warriors on March 25.
