Kamiak grad earns degree from University of Washington | School brief

A Kamiak High School grad has earned a degree from the University of Washington.

Mackenzie K. Meier received a bachelor’s degree from the UW’s Foster School of Business. She graduated from Kamiak in 2011. She graduated from UW in three years.

At Foster, she focused in and was granted a certificate of entrepreneurship studies at the Arthur W. Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship. Her team of four also recently won the Strategic Management Case Competition over 32 other teams at the school.

The University of Washington’s commencement ceremony was held June 14 at the Husky Stadium and honored 5,000 new graduates.

On June 23, Meier started her career with the marketing firm Project Bionic in Seattle, where she interned while at UW.
