The Kamiak football team improved to 3-1 this season, beating Lynnwood in the Knight's first league game of the season. The final score was 26-10.

Lynnwood was up 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, thanks to a 32-yard pass from Justin Cachopo to Richard Truong.

Kamiak responded in the second, scoring two touchdowns while holding the Royals to no new points. Kyle McMillan scored off a 24-yard run with 8:30 left in the half, followed by a 2-yard run by Tyler Webley with 5:35 left to play. The Knights led 14-7 at halftime.

Lynnwood got close, but settled for a field goal with 9:52 left to play in the third quarter, but Kamiak extended the lead with a 98-yard kick off return by Thomas Batie on the following play.

In the fourth quarter, Webley struck again, this time off a 5-yard run and though the kick failed, the Knights won 26-10.

Kamiak will play Jackson on Friday, Oct. 4 at Everett Memorial at 8 p.m. The Timberwolves, who will be celebrating homecoming, are 0-1 in league and 2-2 overall this year.
