Kiwanis honors Kamiak junior
The Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo recently honored Kamiak High School’s Jinha Park as the October Student of the month.
Jinha, a Kamiak junior, has been an active member of the Kamiak Key Club since her freshman year, and will be serving this year as secretary.
Her service to the community has been diverse: Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Play it Forward, Mukilteo Community Garden, Mukilteo Gulch Clean-up, Christmas House, Chocolate Lovers’ Gala Auction, Rosehill Tree Lighting, and the Mukilteo Boo Bash.
“Kamiak Key Club is very fortunate to have her as one of their shining stars,” said Paul Salas, president of the Kiwanis Club.
Jinha has a 4.00 GPA and has taken nine Honors/and or AP classes with a projected 14 upon her graduation.
Her efforts have earned her a class standing of 15 in a class of 554, and membership into the National Honors Society.
Jinha has shared her academic gifts by serving as an academic coach for the past two years where she helps tutor other students.
She also played tennis during her freshman and sophomore year.
