Knights take Wesco 4A crown | Girls golf

Kamiak took first place at the Wesco 4A girls golf championships Tuesday, May 9, at Walter Hall Golf Course in Everett.

The Knights scored 300 points to finish ahead of second-place Lake Stevens, which had 331. Glacier Peak (344), Jackson (358), Mount Vernon (360) and Mariner (488) rounded out the top six teams.

Jane Kim shot a 5-over-par 54 to lead Kamiak. The Knights’ other players were Annette Vo (55), Regina Park (56), Rachel Ponting (62) and Michelle Hong (73).

Lake Stevens’ Anna Lundquist shot a 52 to earn medalist honors.

The 4A District meet is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16-17, after the Beacon’s deadline, at Snohomish Golf Course.
