Lighthouse Festival announces 2017 theme
And the theme for the 52nd annual MukFest is: Light up the Sound.
Of some 15 suggestions, the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Association Board of Directors selected that of Liz Myer, who owns SugarShak by the Sea at 3710 W. Mukilteo Blvd. in Everett.
This year’s festival, set for Sept. 8-10, features a parade, a battle of the bands, an artisan market, an avenue of food, a beer garden, a fishing derby, children’s activities, live music, fireworks and more.
New festival hours this year are 4-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. The 5K and 10K Run-A-Muk marathon is set for 7 a.m. Aug. 26 at the Rosehill Community Center.
The association is a non-profit organization that promotes the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival while creating unity within our community and providing partnership opportunities for local service groups, businesses and individuals.
