Local cadet graduates from West Point

John Carlson

Cadet Reginald John Carlson, son of Rob and Lisa Carlson of Mukilteo, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy on May 25.

Carlson graduated from Kamiak High School in 2008. While at West Point, he concentrated his studies in systems engineering management.

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Transportation branch and will report to Fort Eustis, Virginia, for his first assignment.

The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City. Founded in 1802 as America's first college of engineering, it consistently ranks as one of the top colleges in the nation.
