Lord committed to our community | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
Randy Lord is precisely the guy we need to keep on the Mukilteo City Council.
I had the pleasure of working with Randy for three years on the Mukilteo Youth Advisory Committee – a city-run group which promotes community service projects by Mukilteo teenagers and gives students a forum to express their views on city matters.
Randy was one of the city councilmembers who worked with MYAC, and he had a great impact on our actions. He worked hard to instill good project management skills and fair, democratic decision-making into all of our activities.
I’ve kept in touch with Randy over the past few years, and he has always taken time out of his busy schedule to offer advice on topics ranging from my worries about college to providing an excellent reference when I was applying for a congressional campaign internship last summer.
Randy is passionate about our city. He’s committed to making Mukilteo better in every possible way.
With all the recent outrage at politicians over the government shutdown and the debt ceiling crisis, people like Randy remind me that there are still good people doing good work in our community.
