Man struck by SUV in crosswalk
A man in his 70s was injured after he was struck by a sport utility vehicle Friday morning in Mukilteo.
The Mukilteo man was hit just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Possession Way and Southport Drive, said police Cmdr. Charles Macklin.
The man had been walking in a crosswalk behind his wife and their dog.
The driver of the SUV saw the wife and dog and stopped for them. The driver didn’t see the man following behind and struck him.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with broken bones and other injuries. His injuries were believed to not be life threatening, Macklin said.
Police shut down a block of Possession Way during the investigation. Lynwood collision investigators assisted with the case.
