Mariner sixth at Wilfong Classic in Puyallup | Prep wrestling

The Mariner wrestling team traveled to Puyallup on Saturday, Dec. 14 for the Wilfong Classic wrestling tournament.

As a team, the Marauders finished in sixth place with 120.5 points. Puyallup won with 242.5 points overall.

Mariner’s top finishers included Anthony Carrillo finishing in fifth place in the 113-weight class, while Tristen Huggins won the 120 division. Kevin Mach finished in fifth place in the 126-weight class, while teammate Ramon Ozuna finished in second place in the 145 division. Edgars Plornish was second overall in the 195 division and Daniel Huynh was third in the 220-weight class. Fransico Flores finished the 285 bracket in third place.

The team will compete in the Lynnwood Classic tournament at Lynnwood High School on Saturday, Dec. 21 beginning at 9 a.m.
